AFRICA DAY CELEBRATIONS IN SWEDEN
The Embassy of Zimbabwe participated in the Africa Day celebrations held on 28th and 29th May 2026 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The 2 day event started off with a Business Forum which was officiated by Honorable Mr. Johan Forssell, Minister for Migration in Sweden. The Business Forum, which sought to shine a spotlight on African businesses, entrepreneurs, trading and investment in Africa, was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from civil society organizations, private sector, Sweden’s trade and business organisations and entrepreneurs.
Day 2 was a Cultural Event where the Ambassadors promoted African culture through music, traditional attire, artefacts, dance, food and drinks in Sweden. Members of the Swedish government, friends of Africa from outside the diplomatic corps also joined, underscoring the continent’s growing cultural influence in Sweden.
