The Embassy of Zimbabwe participated in the Africa Day celebrations held on 28th May 2024. This year’s Africa Day was a successful collaboration between the African Missions in Stockholm and the event was hosted by the Ambassador of Egypt to Sweden.
His Excellency Johan Forssell, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden was the Guest of Honour at the event, which was attended by African Heads of Mission, senior Swedish government officials, members of Parliament, business associates and the African diaspora in Sweden.
This year’s theme “Education for All” highlighted the critical importance of education, aligning with the AU’s Agenda, ´Education for Africa: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality and relevant learning in Africa´.
The celebration was also a joyous showcase of African unity, food, culture, and music, featuring many dishes from each country, reflecting the rich diversity of the African continent. Together continuing to promote education and celebrate the cultural diversity and beauty of African heritage.
